We wish them a swift and full recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disturbingly, hate crimes based on sexual orientation have more than doubled over the last five years, according to UK Government statistics. This alarming rise underscores the necessity for a concerted effort to create safer environments for all members of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lack of a hate crime strategy in England for over three years is a concerning oversight. It&#8217;s high time for comprehensive action to be taken to address the growing hostility faced by the LGBTQ+ community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Taking Steps Towards Equality and Inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not enough to simply acknowledge the problem. Action is required at all levels to combat LGBTQ+ discrimination, harassment, and victimisation.
