A Poem for Progress: EDI Matters 💯%

In every street, in every hall,
Across the globe, in businesses tall,
There rings a truth both bold and bright
Equality is a human right.

Not a trend, nor passing phase,
But justice lit in lasting blaze.
To tackle hate, we must begin
By naming bias from within.

No matter colour, age or creed,
Our workplaces have urgent need
For hearts that welcome, minds that see,
And cultures built on equity.

The Census spoke in twenty-one,
A shift has started, not yet done.
The white majority begins to wane,
While elder years advance again.

To thrive, to serve, to grow and lead,
We’ll lean on talent from every seed
Diverse in race, in faith, in form,
The new face of the workday norm.

But talent won’t just stay or strive,
If dignity is not alive.
Respect must rise from deep within,
Where every worker feels they win.

Not just a seat or empty name,
But value felt, not played as game.
Belonging built through daily acts
That’s how we move from words to facts.

EDI’s not some box to tick,
Or corporate gloss applied too quick.
It is the air good futures breathe,
The roots from which all cultures wreathe.

So, say it loud and let it spread,
In every boardroom, street, and shed:
Inclusion isn’t just “nice to do”
It’s how we build what’s strong and true.

If you want your business to last and climb,
Now is not a neutral time.
The choice is clear, the path is set:
EDI matters. 100%.
